Three-time All Star Dan Shanahan thinks that Waterford's running game can trouble Tipperary in tomorrow's All Ireland quarter final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The Déise haven't tasted a championship victory over Tipp since the 2008 All Ireland semi final.
Liam Cahill's side enjoyed a five point win when the two teams met in the league last month and Shanahan believes that they will bring that high energy again on Saturday.
"I was at the league game and I couldn't get over what Waterford did to Tipp that day," he told WLR's Lár Na Páirce show.
"Tipp came down to win the game, they had a very strong team out, stronger than Waterford, I don't think Jamie Barron was playing that day. They ran them off the field in Walsh Park. I can assure you Páirc Uí Chaoimh is as big as Walsh Park. I've no doubt that Liam Cahill will bring what he brought last week to Liam Sheedy's team. I expect that they'll do the same thing. They'll run harder and run faster again and see the prize is an All Ireland semi final spot. I think he's going to play the running game like he did last week. That's the best chance they have of beating Tipperary on Saturday."
He believes that Jamie Barron is back to his best. The Fourmilewater midfielder was man of the match against Galway last weekend.
"I think the ten minutes he got against Laois helped him to get a bit of running into the legs. By god, did he put on a performance last week. It doesn't surprise me to be honest with you. He's a great lad, he trains hard and he comes from a hurling and football background so he knows what it takes to be a proper athlete."
