Waterford boxer Kelyn Cassidy is through to the second round of the European Games in Poland.
The Saviours Crystals boxer is now one step closer to securing promotion to the Paris Olympics in 2024 with potentially four more fights remaining at these games.
Cassidy was a unanimous winner on the judge's scorecards, beating Mindaugas Gedminas 5-0 in a clean sweep for the Waterford pugilist.
He is now through to the last 16 where he will face Taylor Bevan on Monday, but will have his sights set firmly on a potential quarter-final spot.
A win in the last eight would guarantee Kelyn a place at the Olympics next summer.
