Bríd McMaugh is the November winner of the WLR / Granville Hotel Monthly GAA Award.
The Ballymacarbry star played a pivotal role as they secured back-to-back Munster Ladies' Football titles with victory over the Banner of Clare in the provincial final - before defeating Ulster champions Clan Eireann in the All-Ireland semi-final.
McMaugh was the star of the show in the Munster final, knocking over 0-7 in a player-of-the-match performance, and she also kicked 0-3 from play in the All-Ireland semi-final victory.
Bríd's cousin, Kelly-Ann Hogan, was the winner of the October award - and Brid told WLR that it's fantastic to keep the award in the family.
"I'm delighted to be following on from Kelly who won it in October - it's lovely for us to be recognised for what we did with Ballymacarbry this year", said McMaugh.
Ballymacarbry lost out in the All-Ireland Final to Kilkerrin-Clonberne on December 16th - going down 0-18 to 1-09 in their first final since 1998 - before McMaugh was even born.
"It was a great experience to get to the All-Ireland Final and play in Croke Park. The support from the village was amazing and it's such an achievement to get there. Obviously, it was disappointing on the day and we performed better in the matches before."
McMaugh says winning back-to-back Munster titles is something that she will never forget.
"The Munster Final went well, we went out on the day, thought of it as another match, and performed. Everyone played so well and the points just kept going over thank God - to get back-to-back Munsters was just like a dream."
