The Brickey Rangers are Waterford intermediate hurling champions for the very first time.
They saw off Portlaw in the County Intermediate Final at Walsh Park this afternoon on a scoreline of 0-23 to 1-14.
Tom O'Connell starred with 0-11 for the men in black and amber, while teenager Peter Cummins, who had four different markers, chipped in with 0-6 from play.
Sean Ronayne also played a huge role with 0-4 from play, while county man DJ Foran was central to the Portlaw effort with 0-7.
The Eastern side lead 1-8 to 0-9 at the break largely thanks to a Trevor Kiely goal but the Westerners dominated the second period to be promoted to premier intermediate level for 2024.
