Ballymacarbry are gearing up for the biggest game the club has played since the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Club Final.
The Waterford champions are back at the same stage next Saturday in Croke Park where they do battle with three in a row chasing Kilkerrin Clonberne.
The Galway outfit scored a comfortable win over Ballymac in last year's All-Ireland semi-final in Fraher Field.
Ballymacarbry are bidding for an eleventh All-Ireland title, and former star Fiona Crotty-Laffan believes they have been building in every game, since winning a 42nd consecutive county title.
"Ballymac have a point to prove when they come back up here. Kilkerrin Clonberne are going for three-in-a-row, and Ballymac will do their utmost to stop that. It means a lot to all of them, you can see it."
Fiona believes a huge Ballymacarbry support will travel to Croke Park to cheer on Mike Guiry's side.
"I think they will and in fairness at the Munster final, a lot of people from across Waterford came down to support them. The ladies' football community in Waterford are very good to do that. I've no doubt that people will be getting behind them. They've done the county very very proud."
She believes that the current squad are a credit to both themselves and the community.
"They're a well-grounded bunch of girls. The excitement in the camp up in Ballymacrbry is unbelievable but they're focused on the task ahead of them on Saturday. We're not really hearing very much from the team or the management themselves. The supports are so excited I think, there's a lot of reminiscing going on!".
WLR will broadcast the game live this Saturday thanks to George Corbett Skoda, with our commentary team of Tomas McCarthy and Michael Ryan.
