Former Waterford FC boss Alan Reynolds has joined Ruaidhrí Higgins team at Derry City for the coming year.
Reynolds has most recently worked at Shelbourne with Ian Morris, helping the Tolka Park outfit gain automatic promotion from the first division.

Reynolds who left the RSC last year in the early days of the first covid lockdown has since spent time with Dundalk and Shels, while also joining Jim Crawford's Republic of Ireland U21 coaching staff with fellow Waterford native John O' Shea.
Speaking to WLR Sport Reynolds says he's excited to get going with his new role, with the added prospect of coaching in the premier division.
"Yeah look I'm delighted, it's a club that I was there before in 2008. Had a good relationship with the people up there. A club that's going places. I'm delighted to be asked and looking forward to the challenge"
It's not the first time he will have worked at the Ryan McBride Brandywell. His maiden coaching job in 2008 after retiring from playing was with Stephen Kenny's Candystripes; a year that saw the side place third in the table.
"They've signed a lot of good players going forward, so I suppose the expectation will be high, and rightly so; we'll have to manage that."
"We have a lot of quality there, so hopefully, I can add something to it and we can improve on last year."

There's a lot of hype about the players we've signed; really good players, we need to be excited by it not be afraid of it and thrive under the pressure, and under the demands from the fans."

They finished fourth last year, and you know it's to improve on that will be the aim. You look at Shamrock Rovers, St Pats, Sligo, and the other ones - they'll all strengthen. So, it will be tough, but it's something we'll relish"
