February 17th completed the last of the Inter County qualifiers. There have been successes and great performances across all grades. Grade E competition took place on February 10th in UL and Waterford took the honours and showed great commitment and determination by fighting for every point.

They supported and encouraged each other throughout the whole day, as did the other counties. They beat Cork in the final 5-4. It was a true team performance.

Special mention should also go to Trudy Kennedy and Gary Alcorn for selecting the winning formula and to John Amond who worked with the group to hone their skills for the great victory. They will progress onto the All Ireland's next and we wish them all the best.

Trudy and John are no strangers to inter county success as this duo also brought Grade H success to the county last year. Alas, it wasn't to be Waterford's year in the Martin Morrissey Cup.

Michael McGrath, Mike Bumster and Tanya Hallahan worked with a fine group of dedicated players, captained by Michel Brown, over the last six weeks to prepare for the Grade H competition.

Waterford were so close and lost out to a strong Limerick team at the very end. Waterford walked away with a very respectable silver medal
