Ferrybank completed their Premier League campaign last night by defeating St Saviour's 4-0 in Clonard Park. They now have a total of 42 points and are guaranteed at least a play-off to decide who wins the championship. Meschac Babatu scored two of their goals.
St Saviour's striker Stephen Dalton suffered a serious leg injury and play was delayed for 20 minutes while he was taken to hospital.
Carrick United defeated Southend United 2-0 in Southend Park thanks to a brace of goals by Jack Doherty. The former Waterford and Ipswich Town player has now scored 21 goals in the league campaign to date. If Carrick beat Waterford Crystal in their last game on Wednesday they will play Ferrybank in the play-off.
Hibernians slim chance of remaining in the title chase disappeared when they lost 2-1 at home to Dungarvan United . Nicky Donnelly and Robbie Mulligan were the goalscorers for The Old Borough.
