Waterford is continuing with its quest to become the Best Place in Ireland in which to grow old in.
It's part of the Age Friendly initiative which is being promoted by Waterford Older People's Council.
The Council held its AGM in the Large Room, City Hall today.
Outgoing Chair Susan O'Connor spoke to WLR and outlined the benefits of volunteering.

She is encouraging all older people, and people with mobility issues, to take on roles within the local community.
