parkrun is a free, weekly, 5k and 2k community event in open spaces around the world.
Participants of all ages and abilities run, jog and walk and the movement has seen a surge in popularity recently.
There are currently two parkruns in Waterford - at SETU Arena, Carriagnore and in Tramore.
The SETU Arena parkrun marked its one year anniversary on Saturday last January 11th - and WLR went along to participate and speak to some of those involved.
