Cappoquin Health Centre has been named "Establishing GP Practice of the Year 2024" at the National GP Buddy Awards.
This was voted on by fellow GPs around the country.
Dr Derek Casey took over the practice in 2020 and has presided over its expansion.
He spoke to WLR and gave his reaction to the award while also discussing the challenges facing both rural and urban practices.
