Local Councillor Jim Griffin is involved with several community groups in East Waterford that ensure those in need are catered for all year round.
Over Christmas, hampers, food, and coal were delivered to households struggling over the winter period by various groups.
However, the community action initiatives work all year round, and Cllr. Jim Griffin is urging people to check in on the vulnerable and elderly during the cold snap.
