As part of WLR's General Election coverage, we have been accompanying Waterford candidates during their canvass trail across the city and county.

Fine Gael Senator John Cummins is attempting to make the transition from the Senate to the Dail.

WLR joined Senator Cummins and his campaign team on a canvass in West Waterford this week - getting a flavour of the many issues coming up for discussion.

Various topics arose on doorsteps in the area including childcare, government representation and amenities.
