As part of WLR's General Election coverage, we have been accompanying Waterford candidates during their canvass trail across the city and county.
Matt Shanahan is looking to regain his seat after being elected as an Independent for Waterford in the 2020 General Elections.
During the canvass, Deputy Shanahan was accompanied by a large team of canvassers, who were out and about across the city centre on Wednesday evening.
Residents discussed issues such as 24/7 cardiac care at UHW and concerns around CAMHS on the doorsteps.
