The second Waterford Age Well Expo takes place on Tuesday next October 1st.
The free event is being staged at The Park Hotel, Dungarvan and will showcase the services, supports and activities available to older people to lead fulfilling, healthy and active lives.
Keynote speaker is Waterford native, Daniel Mulhall, a former Irish diplomat who has served as Ambassador to Malaysia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Ahead of the event, WLR's Kieran Foley spoke to Dr Julie-Claire Kerley, Director of Nursing at UPMC Whitfield and Miriam Griffin, Manager of UPMC Outreach Centre Carlow to find out more about their involvement.
Miriam began by reflecting on the first Age Well Expo which took place at The Tower Hotel in Waterford in May.
