Brid Golden, coach of Ferrybank AC and a giant of athletics locally was Catherine's guest on The Sporting Life this week.
Brid has been involved in athletics for over 40 years and is considered one of Waterford's greatest track and field competitors, coaches and administrators.
Elected as Vice president of Athletics Ireland this year, the Ferrybank AC club member boasts a fantastic juvenile career with 34 titles on her mantlepiece.
As a coach Brid has seen athletes of the calibre of Kelly Proper, Jessie and Thomas Barr come through Ferrybank AC.
