In this episode of The Sporting Life Michelle Ryan has an in-depth discussion with father and son duo Jim and Brian Wall of The Nire and Fourmilewater clubs.
Jim played football with the Nire and with Waterford, and was the first Waterford man to win a Railway cup medal with Munster in 1972, playing alongside the likes of Mick O’Dwyer and Mick O’Connell of Kerry.
He was entered into the Munster GAA Hall of Fame in 2014, and was a selector with The Nire when they won their first ever senior county title in 1993.
His son Brian won a Munster hurling medal with Waterford in 2004 and led The Nire to their first Munster final in 2006. He also gave great service to the Waterford football panel, captaining the side in 2007.
