The life of a man was saved this week in Waterford city following a suspected cardiac arrest.
This comes as the man, believed to be in his 50s, was found unresponsive on the ground on Barronstrand Street on Wednesday.
Local men, including Derek Threadgold, John Mullane, and Johnny Phelan came to the aid of the man.
They commenced chest compressions until the paramedics arrived, in an effort to keep the man's heart beating.
