Yesterday, sixth class pupils from Gaelscoil Philib Barún saw their film air for the first time on the silver screen in Garter Lane.

The film was a project developed from their All-Ireland winning play, a depiction of a love story from World War I.

Using locations around Tramore, the battle scenes at war were filmed in the Sandhills, the indoor scenes in Croke's Pub, and the former Railway Station featured heavily.

Named 'Coinnle le Lasadh' the screening marked the first time a film was ever aired in such a way by the school.

Under the guiding hand of teacher, Ben Mac Caoilte, the class were involved in acting, sound, lighting, and much more.

Speaking to Dymphna Nugent after the airing, students spoke of their time in the school, and what they will miss, together with family members present.

Dymphna also spoke to the man himself, Ben Mac Caoilte.
