This weeks Showtime Podcast focusses on the only game in town in the arts world in Waterford at the moment.

Pat McEvoy dropped into studio to give us an update on some of the shows in Waterford over the last month. He also discussed the highly anticipated Green Room awards.

*Soul Dance Arts who presented Grease and a variety show in Act 2. This took place in Theatre Royal, late January.

*The David Hennessy Stage School presented Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This took place in Garter Lane in Late January / Early February.

*The Sorry Miscellany was presented by BrokenCrow Theatre group. This again took place in Garter Lane in Late January / Early February

*The Portlaw Panto lit up the Premier Hall in Portlaw in early February. This is their 43rd production.

*Eugene Broderick is doing another highly successful season of talks in the Garden Room of the Medieval Museum.

*Six was the choice of TheatreBox Stage School and that took to the stage in mid February in Garter Lane.

After the reviews Pat discusses the Green Room Awards. We chat about why they are so important to the arts community in Waterford. Pat also discussed the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Peoples Choice award. Both of these awards are hugely significant. One is decided by the public of Waterford. The other is a recognition of a lifetimes dedication to the arts in Waterford.
