Listen back to S.C.O.W. on Showtime.  Anne Garbett, chair of the Symphony Club of Waterford called in to discuss 2 great concerts.

First up on November 15th in SETU Arena the RTE Concert Orchestra present 'Cinematic Classics'. This is one for all the movie soundtrack fans. John Williams and John Barry are two of the great composers featured. There will be music from Platoon (Barber), Cinema Paradiso (Morricone) and much more.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Polish conductor Anna Sułkowska-Migoń will perform this evening of dramatic classical music, showcasing the drama and melody of theatrical and filmic scores at the SETU Arena in Waterford. Tickets from Garter Lane here.

The second concert sees the National Symphony Orchestra in town. The National Symphony Orchestra, in association with Symphony Club of Waterford, returns Waterford on Saturday 30 November.  This time two major international artists join them – Patrik Ringborg, one of Sweden’s most prolific conductors both in concert and in opera, and the acclaimed young Franco-Belgian cellist Camille Thomas.

The wonderful programme on offer includes Dvorak's Cello concerto and Tchaikovsky's fifth symphony. Tickets for this are also available from garterlane.ie
