Anne Garbett is the current Chair of the Symphony Club Of Waterford. The Symphony Club of Waterford has the aim to bring quality music to the people of Waterford. It hosts affordable concerts in local venues. The 2024 season is no exception.
First up is a quirky night out. The RTE Concert Orchestra will present an 80's night in SETU Arena. Some huge 80's songs are on offer in including -
- Copacabana
- Radio GaGa
- Nine to Five
- It's Raining Men
- The Final Countdown
This concert is on Saturday April 6th in SETU and is booking now. The RTE Concert Orchestra are always popular and this is already selling well.
In early June in Christchurch the Symphony club host the Hibernian Orchestra. This is a wonderful programme. It includes Wagners Tannhauser overture and Elgar's Enigma variations. Elton John recently cited the Enigma variations as the one piece of music he'd save on a desert island. It is that significant in the world of music. This concert is also booking now at garterlane.ie.
