The sad news emerged on Thursday morning that legendary Blues goalkeeper Peter Thomas had passed away.
Thomas played 599 career games winning five League Of Ireland titles, 1 League of Ireland Shield, 1 Texaco Cup, 5 Top Four Cups, 1 President's Cup and 3 Munster Cups.
A career spanning 19 years on two continents, Thomas is still regarded as one of the best goalkeepers to ever play on the island; a pole in 2020 saw him named as the best goalkeeper ever to play League of Ireland football.
Long-time Blues reporter Matt Keane sat down with Nigel Kelly to look back on the life and times of Peter.
