As the year comes to a close, I firstly want to thank every one of the independent Irish artists and bands who have submitted music to me for WLR over the past year. Ireland is absolutely thriving with talent covering all genres of music it’s amazing. If you are familiar with my website ramblings I do a monthly feature, Ray Recommends and I recently started a web music show called Ear On Eire.
So, to finish out the year I’ve done a super team-up of both of my web features and I’m going to look back on what Waterford had to offer in 2022. I decided to do an A-Z list rather than a TOP chart. Now before I go any further, I want to apologise if I left anyone out on the list. I really do try to keep the best tab I can on who sends me what, so if you didn’t make the list and I played you my show The Shift this year, my bad it wasn’t done on purpose.
I’ve compiled a list of over 30 artists/bands from our lovely county that have sent me tunes this year.
