Trevor Darmody and John Grubb are the Co-Directors of Winterval this year, and they joined Damien in studio to discuss the event.

This year will mark 10 years of the Christmas Festival. The two men have been involved in Winterval since the beginning.

They have both described themselves as big children and for that reason, they believe they will create a magical festival this year.

They discussed what people can expect to see at Winterval, while trying to sell the idea to Damien, who was pretending to not know what it is.

The festival runs for six weeks, and is considered as "Waterford at Christmas" by the two Co-Directors.

It also provides the perfect opportunity for communities and businesses to come together.

For the first four weeks, the festival will only be on weekends.

The festival will begin on November 18th with a Christmas parade.
