Tramore man asks public to support Daffodil Day this Friday

A Tramore man who has fought two cancer battles in recent years has appealed to the public to support national Daffodil Day this Friday (March 25).

Liam Cuddihy was first diagnosed in 2018 after finding a troublesome lump under his chin.

He received treatment for a non-hodgkins lymphoma and returned to work in August 2019.

However, during a routine check up in September 2020, a lump which had appeared under his right arm chest area was confirmed as a relapse, meaning his cancer treatment process started all over again.

Liam, who spoke on Deise Today this morning (Wednesday), told Damien Tiernan that the men's group he attends at the local Solas Cancer Support Centre has helped get him through an exceedingly difficult time.

He told his story as part of an appeal for support for the Irish Cancer Society in trying to raise much-needed funds for cancer patients and their families, through the Daffodil Day fundraiser this Friday....
