Are you planning to take a holiday in the coming  weeks and months and if so, do you know the new travel rules in effect from today in terms of Covid safety?

From this morning (Feb 1), travel between Ireland and other EU countries is being impacted by changes to Digital Covid Cert rule.

A  270-day validity period will be applied to the Covid Certs which means that for people who were vaccinated over nine months ago and have not had a booster, they will not be allowed to enter other EU countries.

As for travellers who have recently recovered from infection, they must prove they have a recovery cert within the last 180 days or a negative test result.
