Tramore Amusement Park will open in conjunction with the town's St Patrick's Day Celebrations.

The parade at the seaside town makes its return along with Waterford city, and this year's theme will be 'Together Again'.

While it's not the first time the amusements made their grand return on St Patrick's Day, it hasn't happened in a number of years.

Operations Manager of Tramore Amusement Park, Michael Garland,  spoke to Damien on Déise Today. He said not all of the rides will open, but ones aimed at families and smaller children will.

"Come Easter we'll have a lot of stuff in again, but when the better weather comes in again in May going into June, the Park will be full again with over 40 attractions, which makes us the biggest outdoor amusement park in Ireland," he said.
