This morning (Thursday), 'Deise Today' aired the stories of listeners who have children with additional needs, particularly autism.

As well as the day-to-day challenges of managing children with his complex condition, parents locally are also hugely concerned about the education prospects for their children, with a severe shortage of school places available.

Waterford parents Sarah, Jennifer, Melissa, Danielle and Roisin,  all told their stories to Damien on this morning's show and highlighted the huge gap in services generally for children with additional needs.
