Fine Gael's John Paul Phelan announced this week that he is to step away from politics at the next general election.

The TD for Kilkenny/Carlow joined Damien in studio to reflect on his career in politics.

He discussed a variety of issues including his relationships with Leo Varadkar, Enda Kenny, Phil Hogan and Paudie Coffey; the establishment of SETU; and the controversial proposed Waterford boundary extension.
