There's a new chairperson at the helm of the IFA (Irish Farmers' Association) in Co Waterford.

John Heffernan, a Ballymacarbry-based farmer, says he is excited and honoured to take on the new role and challenge, saying there's a lot of issues for farmers at the moment.

He spoke to Damien Tiernan on Deise Today about his own background - and what he hopes to bring to his new position with the IFA in 2o22.
