AFTER 35 years in the town of Dungarvan, the institution that is Genoa's takeaway is to close its doors!
The Divetta family have announced they are retiring from the business after more than three decades on Grattan Square with the well-known takeaway premises now up for sale with REA Spratt.
The announcement on social media has triggered a wave of well-wishes for the family with many people from Waterford indeed, and beyond, sharing and posting their memories of Genoa's over the years, on-line.
This morning on 'Deise Today', Damien managed to speak to two members of the well-known DiVetta family, sisters Lucia and Catriona, about their memories of many happy years in business in Dungarvan and the family's plans for the future.
