The Solas Cancer Support Centre's Run and Walk for Life 2023 took place over the weekend and was deemed a huge success.

Over 620 people came to support the Centre in Dungarvan on Saturday while around 2,600 people took part on Sunday in Waterford City, with a further 200 people taking part virtually.

Tracy McDaid, Manager at the Solas Cancer Support Centre, spoke on Déise Today this morning (Monday) about the success of the event, along with Siobhan Cogley, who is a cancer survivor and client of the Solas Centre.

Tracy thanked all who helped to make the events happen and everyone who took part, while Siobhan, who has battled breast cancer, spoke about her journey with the illness and how the centre had helped her.

Tracy and Siobhan also gave their advice to people who are being affected and families who have been affected by cancer.
