WATERFORD city rents have increased by a whopping 14.1% compared to last year.

That's according to the latest DAFT.ie report, showing the average rent price in the city now to be 1,549, with the increase in the county recorded at just below 12% year on year.

Ronan Lyons, economist with DAFT.ie, spoke this morning to Damien Tiernan yesterday morning (Monday) about the soaring rent prices.
