To raise awareness for Metastatic Breast Cancer Day, the Marie Keating Foundation are holding a free event in Mount Congreve Gardens tomorrow (Friday, October 13).

Helen Forristal, Director of Nursing with the Marie Keating Foundation, discussed the event on 'Déise Today' and spoke about the importance of raising awareness for metastatic breast cancer.

Helen explained the difference between metastatic breast cancer and other types of breast cancer, discussed the increasing survival rates of breast cancer and also the importance of creating awareness for metastatic breast cancer.

She highlighted the ways you can get help too if you are struggling with the isolating effects of breast cancer.
