Budget 2004 was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon, featuring a multibillion package of spending increases, once-off payments and tax cuts.

Across every Government department, new spending and measures were unveiled, including the two departments (social protection and rural and community development) which are the responsibility of Cavan, Monaghan and North Meath TD Heather Humphreys.

This morning (Thursday), she came on 'Deise Today' with Damien to talk about child benefit measures, free hot meals for additional primary schools, the double fuel allowance payment and more.

Damien also raised with her the concerns within the hospitality sector about the rise of the minimum wage.
