An 18-year-old jockey and an 85-year-old trainer combined forces to give racing followers - and indeed Waterford natives - a day two of Cheltenham 2o23 to remember.

It was indeed 'A Dream to Share' for John Gleeson and trainer John Kiely when they enjoyed a thrilling victory in the Weatherby's Champion Bumper.

John is the young son of RTE and ITV presenter Brian Gleeson, and his wife Claire.

They had bred and previously owned the aptly-named 'A Dream to Share' before the horse was acquired by JP McManus.
