As well as the "Helen Blake," the "Fanny Harriett" lifeboat from Dunmore East played a crucial role in this mission, which happened in horrific conditions on February 21st 1914.

Brendan Mooney has written a book on the fateful events which ensued, when the Norwegian schooner "The Mexico,"  went aground off the coast of Wexford on the Keeragh Islands.
