The 26 year old says he's honoured and excited to be representing Ireland at the United Nations in New York this Autumn.
Jamie, who got involved with Comhairle na nÓg from a young age, and 22 year old Aisling O'Boyle from Dublin, have been chosen as the country's UN Youth Delegates for 2018/2019.
They will work closely with Ireland’s Permanent Mission to the UN and will give speeches on behalf of the youth of Ireland during sessions of the UN committee dealing with human rights issues.
Both delegates will head to New York again in March.
Jamie says they'll be thrown into the thick of things from the off when he goes over next week.
