Dublin native Sebastian, who holds the rare accolade of having twice won the Costa prize (for "The Secret Scripture" and "Days without End,") was giving a talk to renal dialysis patients at University Hospital Waterford, as part of his role as Laureate.
He dropped out to WLR afterwards and was interviewed by Mary in studio, where he discussed his early life, writing, and the joy he derived from meeting the patients at UHW.
