Listen back: Author of "Martin Sheridan - Mayo's famous son" joined Mary "On the Fringe."

From humble beginnings in the west of Ireland, Sheridan went on to win nine Olympic medals and 12 national championship, as well as numerous more regional championships in the United States (to where he emigrated at a young age.)

Sheridan paid a visit to Dungarvan after the London Olympics in 1908, and the story of this visit is documented in Margaret's book.
