Self-taught artist Anthony tells me he's enjoying his retirement from Waterford Council, where he was in the arts office for many years. However he's been keeping himself busy with other projects.
One of these is a short film he's been working on with local group Band of Clouds. The five minute short is called Graves & Sons and it will premiere at Forum Studios, The Glen, Saturday the 23rd of March from 8pm to 11pm.
Embracing technology
Anthony says he realised that he could do amazing things with software and video, by combining them with his artistic skills. It was through this discovery that he teamed up with Band of Clouds to start producing film to accompany their tracks. He says he's been pottering away on this current video, Graves and Sons for about the past two years, and it will play over the song of the same name as part of Saturday night's event.
Saturday March 23rd.
Anthony has a full evening planned for Forum Studios, kicking off at 8pm and running until 11pm. He says the premises in the Forum is an artistic hub, started by Stephen Stubbs a number of years ago, and with the help of Ollie Breslin. You can find out more here..
