Culture Night sees free events all over Ireland, including in Waterford

Culture Night 2019 takes place on Friday September 20th. The annual national event sees venues and public spaces throw open their doors for free evening entertainment, as a way of celebrating our arts, culture and heritage. Waterford has a jam-packed schedule this year, with events happening right across the City and County. You'll find more details here

There were great celebrations at the Rehearsal Hub on September 14th, to mark the 10th anniversary of Dungarvan Encore Stage Academy. Aileen Hogan, who's been running the show (literally) since the start, joined me in studio to discuss the past ten years, and why she decided to set up a stage school. Local playwright Darren Malone is seeking cast members for his latest work Retail - is it six o'clock yet? which will be staged in Garter Lane Arts Centre in March 2020. He was joined in studio by Stage Manager Edwina Halligan. They discussed the play itself and the upcoming auditions at The Wander Inn, Waterford City on September 28th. You can listen back here..
