Work is underway on refurbishing Waterford's oldest pub.
T & H Doolan's on Great George's Street in the city was first established in 1710.
The pub, which was once owned by the Clancy Brothers, has fallen into disrepair since it was closed and auctioned off in 2014.
However, fresh hope has arisen that the historic venue might reopen at some stage, as cosmetic work is underway there at the moment.
€37,000 was granted in May under the Historic Structures Fund to repair the shopfront and the lettering.
