The body of a woman has been found in Raheen, Piltown, South Kilkenny after it is believed she died while out cutting timber.
The woman, who is in her early 60s, was discovered at about 5 o'clock yesterday (Saturday) evening.
WLR News understands she had been cutting timber in a field when an accident occurred and she was struck by a falling branch.
Gardaí say they attended the scene and the woman's body was removed.
They are treating it as a tragic incident.
