The overall number of cases of Covid in Waterford has surpassed 1,000.
There have been 1,002 recorded cases in the county since the outbreak of the pandemic, according to HSE figures.
On October 16th Waterford hit 500 cases. In the five and a half weeks since then, the numbers have doubled.
There were 7 further cases in Waterford yesterday (up to Monday Nov 23rd), and the county's incidence rate has fallen slightly to 150.6 cases per 100,000 population.
There has also been a fall in the numbers being treated at University Hospital Waterford - there is one confirmed case on site and four suspected cases, according to last night's HSE update.
