Waterford Walls announces expansion into the county as appeal for wall launches

Waterford Walls is spreading further into the county for this year's festival.

Now in its ninth year, the August festival plays host to Irish and International street artists.

Running from August 11-20, over 20 walls are needed, including house gable walls, garden walls, and more.

Speaking to WLR, Emma Loo, communications manager with the festival says the art is spreading further into the county this year.

She says: "The best thing to do is to get in contact with us on our website where there is a selection button which says, 'I have a wall."

For anyone who indicates that they have a wall, the festival organisers will match them up with an artist and the owner of the wall has the final say on the finished result.
