Due the warm weather conditions the organisers of the Waterford Viking Marathon have made the decision to downgrade the Event to a Half and Quarter Marathon only.
It was made on the advice of the Medical Director, Waterford University Hospital, An Garda Siochana, Met Eireann and the Health and Safety Team.
Speaking to WLR News, Edel Walsh says forecasts earlier in the week had indicated a reduction in temperatures, but tomorrow's forecast is now consistent with previous days,
She is encouraging all registered Full marathon runners to take part.
Any that do will be offered a discount on next year's entry fee.
Any Full marathon runners that do not participate tomorrow have the option of being given a refund or a deferred entry for next year.
Edel says those registered for the half marathon may consider doing the quarter instead.
