Waterford had the biggest increase in new car sales in the country during 2021.
There were more than 2,700 new cars sold in the county over the 12 months.
According to the latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI), the increase in new registrations nationally was 19%.
However, in Waterford, that increase was a massive 28.6%.
600 more cars were registered in 2021 than in 2020.
While Dublin sold the most cars, the percentage increase was just below Waterford's.
The Society says that while the increase in overall sales is welcomed, we're still not back to pre-Covid levels.
When it comes to new electric vehicles, their sales more than doubled last year at 8,646 units.
The hatchback remains Ireland's top-selling car body type, while grey is the top-selling colour and has been for the past six years.
