15 different groups are in the running for tonight's Waterford PPN Community and Voluntary Awards.

Now in their 18th year, the awards aim to recognise and celebrate the commitment of those in the community sector.

For the groups, there are five categories for tonight's awards.

Under Children and Youth, the Cape-ability Club, Klub Muzik, and Park Rangers AFC have all been shortlisted.

Dungarvan Tidy Towns, the Irish Bee Conservation Project, and Waterford Sustainable Living Slí, are in the running under Environment and Conservation.

For Health and Wellbeing, Ballinameela Community Centre, Carriglea Community Centre, and Vally Bowmen Archery Club are nominated.

The fourth category is Social Inclusion and Community Support, which has seen Lismore Men's Shed, Kilmacthomas Women's Group, and Waterford Disability Group shortlisted.

While Belvedere Manor, Mount William Residents' Association, and St Anne's Court Lemybrien are all in the running for the Spik and Span/Best Kept Residential Area category.

Three Individual Volunteer Awards are also going to be announced tonight - for Junior Volunteer of the Year, Age Friendly Volunteer of the Year, and Board or Committee Member of the Year.
